Yes. The remap itself is a software process carried out through the OBD port, with no mechanical work involved. The car doesn’t need to be running on a road or a dyno for the software to be installed. The safety of the map comes from how it was developed, which in our case means dyno validation before it’s ever used on a customer’s car.
Yes. Any modification to your vehicle, including an ECU remap, should be declared to your insurance provider. Failure to do so could invalidate your policy. We’d recommend checking with your insurer before booking.
